What does copper, alpac wool, and cermaics have in common in San Diego?
Rad designers who care.
When Taylor Whipp, a San Diego based knitwear designer, reached out to me and explained her dream to bring together other mindful brands to do a fun shoot, I knew this was something I wanted to be apart of.
I love being able to support brands that care about how their products impact both people and the environment. Taylor is one of those designers whose very intentional in the way her designs are created with sustainable fibers and production.
She made a conscious decision to handcraft every single product from alpaca wool sustainably sourced from Peru. With moderation, using alpaca wool is a great sustainable alternative because they are biodegradable, long lasting, and the warmth they provide should eliminate the need for layering clothing in some instances (Taylor, 2017)
